Bluff Creek Park
Bluff Creek Park combines music & history and in 1992 Lonnie & Helen Strickland began developing the Bluff Creek Bluegrass Park on
their family land, (which also is the old Cherokee Settlement of their people), and opened the Park in 1993. People came from far & near
with their RV's and Tents and also just drove in to visit this Historical place to see the History & hear the Bluegrass Music which has been
handed down from the Cherokee people. There has been Top Named Groups that has played & sang BG music here and people has came
from as far as ND to visit this Beautiful Park.

Before the Park was developed there was a man whose name was Floyd Faulkner who lived in the area and (before he died in the early
70's between the age of 90 & 95) told of the Cherokee people who lived here in tents and under the bluffs. He told of some leaving on the
Trail of Tears and others dieing of Typhoid and buried on this land.
There are still Arrow Heads from the Old Workshop and Flint to be found as you look around at the history also the Old Grist Mill has
remains to see.
Last but not least is the Old Covered Bridge & the Water Fall & don't forget the FISHING. This is a MUST SEE and Feel the Calmness
that is in the Park.
