ELK LEATHER

Elk is easy to work with and is usually twice the size of an average deer. The leather is heavier than deerskin and is excellent for moccasins, garments, and bags. Each hide averages between 18 and 24 square feet.

ELK LEATHER: All of our elk leather is split to the thickness of about 3 1/3 and 4 ounces. We have found that this is ideal for most of the projects that you will want to make.
