DEER LEATHER

Deerskin is a soft and supple leather. It is easy to work with and used for gloves, crafts and many apparel items. Deerskin has a great feel and look, making it excellent for making leather vests and shirts for the rendezvous. The average size of a deerskin is 8 to 10 square feet.

DEER LEATHER: All deer leather is split between 2 1/2 ounces and 3 ounces. Deerskin is lighter in thickness than elk leather. It is best for garment material since the leather is thinner and weighs less.
